About us
We invite you into nature
Our intention is very simple. We are dedicated to live in connection with nature, both the nature around us, and also in deeper connection with our inner essence.
We believe some of the challenges we have in our world today is because many have lost their connection to the essence of who we are, as well as the amazing nature that we all are part of.
For us this reconnection is to live close to nature, slow down the pace and take time for what truly matters.
Our space is for remembering, reconnection, nourishing and inspiration,
- and to simply be in nature together.
ABOUT US
Johanne grew up in the inner end of this valley, Oldedalen, on the farm Melkevoll.
For many years she lived in the city as well as abroad during studies and later work. This whole time the deep connection to nature brought her back home to the valley again and again.
When Johanne was 19 she started to explore holistic practices like yoga nidra and classical yoga, as well as nature medicine. Through various experiences and exploration it became more and more clear how important it is to live in alignment with nature as well as our deeper inner layers as human beings.
In 2012 Frank and Johanne met while practicing yoga in South India, Mysore. We had both left our steady jobs in Oslo and Stockholm, to explore the world as well as our hearts calling. On this journey we met each other, as well as started the shared life path together. After years of exploring and living in India, Thailand and Bali, - we came back to our nordic roots in Sweden in 2016. We settled in Oldedalen, Norway and Melkevoll when our daughter was born in 2018 - the same year as the Blue Mountain Hall was built. Since then we have taken over Melkevoll and live and share here together with our two kids.
We have shared the tools of yoga as well as other modalities for more than 20 years now. And we are the hosts and owners at Melkevoll, Melkevoll Bretun and Blue Mountain, as well as teachers at classes and gatherings in the Blue Mountain hall.
We are incredible grateful to live here and all the possibilities to share and learn in this setting.
